Bonne nouvelle: notes en-ligne

J’ai décidé de réaliser un site web pour la publication en-ligne de vos notes d’examen (et pour d’autres informations).
Dr. Nasr est d’accord.
C’est l’ingénieur Abedel-Rahim Naboulsi qui le réalisera en ASP.NET.
Chaque étudiant aura un username et un password et lui seul pourra consulter ses notes.
J’espère que ca sera prêt pour la fin du prochain semestre.
J'attend vos propositions concernant ce projet.

great idea, and i support it 100%.
but it wont be the same as waiting ur results infront of the uni doors, feeling that adrenalin rushin through ur body, and ur friends scaring u to death coz they heard a doc sayin there r failures.
with this site, we'll miss the view of student trembling in fear at the doors, and pushing each other to view the names.

There is one solution:

they can put the notes on the website two days after their publication infront of the uni doors,

It's a great idea, but I don't think that each student should be entitled to view his and only his results. He should be able to view all the results (from 1st to 5th year, I mean it is interesting to check all the results isn't it?), like the way it is now at the university, and in case he wants to know details (i.e. which course he failed to pass, or a certain course result...) he will be obliged to enter his username and password to check the information he needs to check.

i suggest if they put the notes but instead of the names they put the student ID, or create a special ID given toeach student when he register.
there u can know ur friends ID and see there results...

We will publish exactly the same information as we do now: grades in CC, pass or fail at the end of semester + GPA+rank.


To get detailed grades, you will need a username and password (now you retire individually the paper stating your grades and you can show your friends only if you want).

i have a question abt the site.
r u goin to put the person's note history in it, or just the result for the current semester?

This project is so overdued, nevertheless better late than ever, and while on it few more steps will make it more pleasing:
Statistics:
History can be saved=>graphs, or simply few options like promotion average for a given year, a student progress, comparing promotions...., suggestions are endless, the easy thing is that the database builds up with time

If the possibility of such improvements exists, I have lots of exemples and more.....
PS: Grades were/are public and posted (even casulties are in bold) so why internet pose a privacy problem!!!!

i think it's a great idea but will you put all the grades of all the years? ex:i'm in my second year of univ, can i see the grades of my first year let's say the second semester??????

We are thinking about specifications and requirements before starting the development.
That's why I'm waiting for your ideas and preferences.

juste il faut implementer tous les mecanismes de requete de ces notes de la base de donnée et les afficher d'une façon élegante ..... Meme on peut ajouter des statistiqus an parcourant l'ensemble d'un promo ou meme tous les promo ....

Bien sur il faut que le site ait un certificat de sécurité : C'est primordial la double authentification ! Je veux etre sûr que je communique avec le (( vrai )) serveur et que je recois les vraies notes !
Aprés tout, on ne veut pas qu'un gamin de simule ce serveur et affiche des fausses notes ( metel ma mara 3ela2telon la ref2Ati bil promo 2007 - 2008 3Alemet men 3indi w kenou la7 yenjeltou :p ... Medri chou alli 3A2li yemken kenet 3am etmassak bi 3adet w takalidl ULFG1 ...... 3an jad sorry )

Oui, actuellement les notes sont sur une base de données Access. Mais elle est tellement vieille et mal conçue !
Le site de publication des notes est indépendant du logiciel de saisie et de calcul des notes qu’on utilise actuellement et qui est mauvais.
On peut donc très bien, pour commencer, publier les notes sans les garder dans une database. A partir d’un backoffice, le responsable peut introduire ou retirer la note pour une classe et une matière. Ou alors faire grand depuis le départ.

Et peut etre des etudiants prennent en charges de transferer les notes à une nouvelle base de donnée en été ou meme comme mini projet , voire comme projet final ! c'est trés interessant et peut etre le plus benifique !

la yiji el sabi men salli 3al Nabi, first things first: we need to replace hurding, queueing, pushing and shoving for the grades, not mentioning the trip some have to take over and over before the grades come, we all agree on the necessity.... Like Wael said, students can always improve the project, but will the administration trust anyone with structural secrets???

Dr Bassam said that Dr Nasr agreeded with the project but said nothing about students making or improving the project

We can start from a small system (just publishing grades on Internet), and then one or two students could work on it as a summer training (4th year).
Concerning structural secrets as said Jacques, there's no such secrets. Recall it's a publishing system for grades, not a software to input grades, compute results and print reports.
De toute façon il n'y a as de secrets, tout ce que nous faisons durant les délibérations (jury) consiste a appliquer le règlement, puis accorder des push-up suivant le cas, et là, tout rentre en jeu sauf le nom de l’étudiant et les considérations personnelles!.
